Specialized in Clinical Exercise Physiology with experience in the field of fitness, health, adapted physical activity, neurorehabilitation and research. Laura is a registered Kinesiologist with La Fédération des Kinésiologues du Québec and Exercise Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology.
She completed a degree in Kinesiology and Clinical Exercise Physiology at Concordia University and is currently enrolled in a Master program in Rehabilitation Science at the University of British Columbia. Laura co-founded Bamboofit, the first Zumba fitness studio in Montreal in 2007. In addition, she has worked as a Kinesiologist working towards individualized needs of patients including those with chronic conditions.
In recent years, she focused in neurorehabilitation and neuromodulation research involving breakthrough technologies as potential treatments for neurological symptoms. In 2015, she joined the PoNS device therapy research team as a therapist and research assistant. She was involved in a pilot study for multiple sclerosis and a clinical trial for traumatic brain injury patients experiencing chronic imbalance and gait problems.
Laura strongly values collaborative decision making with her patients and team to promote a patient-centered approach and positive outcomes in patient treatments.
